Multi award winning Lady Waks brings her flawless mixing skills to Hot Cakes for the first installment of the Bass Shakers series. Hand picked from the hottest artists and freshest up and coming talent in the game, there was just too much bass to fit on one mix.
Lady Waks is a name that is synonymous with breakbeat. She is not only an accomplished Dj and producer having earned Breakspoll awards for Best Dj, Best Producer, and Best Radio Show. She is also well known for her skills a designer, photographer, label owner and promoter. Her In Beat We Trust parties have been largely responsible for spreading breakbeat across Russia and her involvement with the legendary Kazantip festival has seen her booking major talent for the party over the last 5 years.
Both mixes feature hits that are currently rocking speakers as well as bangers that have now become classic tunes, the first lady of breakbeat masterfully gives us a dose of the best beats from artists like Deekline, Martin Flex, KMFX, The Stanton Warriors and Marten Hørger. All the tracks are available individually as well as in these two outstanding mixes.
In this sampler, especially selected for DJ's, we present you with 5 of the compilations biggest BANGERS.
First up, Jumbodaddy comes with the big room bounce with his remix of Elo's 'Wicked' featuring Mr Lexx, then, The Push drop the classic Breaks-step vibes on 'I Just Don't' ably assisted by Lauren Meehan with a soulful vocal. The vibe then gets TURN'ED ALL THE WAY UP with the previously unreleased WMC Edit of Deeklines Beatport chart conquering monster 'Bass Shaker'.
Next up, The Urban Knights add their own distinct flavour with their remix of Wax Wreckaz "Bubble & Wine Up" featuring Etzia. Then last but in no ways least, Lady Waks & Mutantbreakz drop their modern classic 'Sound Boy' featuring Kathica.
